Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer known as being a part of the group One Direction. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own musical band with three classmates, which was named White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they won. The musician was always fascinated by the arts, however he also wished to become the profession of a lawyer, physiotherapist, or even a scout. He worked for a time as a part-time baker in his city and hoped to assist financially at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's hit song Is not She Lovely. The group was then forced to break up due to the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. During the competition the band performed songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group became one of the candidates to be the winner. They were however 3rd place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't win the competition. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
