Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez was born Rosa Maria Perez September 6, 1964. She is an American actress. Her breakthrough role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fearless (1993). Perez's main roles in films include It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado(2000), Pineapple Express (2007), as well as Birds of Prey (2018). In addition, she received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations (in 1990, 1994 and), and another Emmy nomination (2020-present) for her performance as The Flight Attendant. She has been in stage productions on Broadway such as The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season, she was a co-host on ABC's talk show The View. She attended Grover Cleveland High School, in the Ridgewood neighborhood in Queens. [11] In 1999 her mother was living in the poverty of Woodside Houses when she died from AIDS-related complications.
